Named in honor of Norway's reigning monarch, King Harald V, the MS Kong Harald has been a staple of the Norwegian coast since 1993. This vessel underwent significant modernization in 2016 and a green hybrid upgrade in 2023, enhancing its efficiency and comfort while reducing emissions by approximately 25%. The interior design reflects contemporary, "Arctic-inspired" Scandinavian style, featuring natural materials like granite, oak, and wool. The ship has a capacity for up to 590 passengers, offering an intimate way to explore Norway's dramatic coastline over its 7 decks.
Onboard amenities include a large panoramic lounge with floor-to-ceiling windows for optimal sightseeing, three restaurants, a bakery and ice-cream bar, a sauna, fitness room, and two outdoor hot tubs. As part of the Coastal Express fleet, it blends the experience of a traditional working ship stopping at 34 ports with the comforts of a modern cruise liner, making it an excellent choice for viewing stunning fjords and hunting the Northern Lights
